The German company on Friday announced the appointment of Dr. Claudia Viehweger, 46, as Chief Human Resources Officer in a bid to promote diversity in the firm.
Dr. Viehweger will assume overall responsibility for the Scout24 Group’s human resources activities starting July 1 and will be reporting directly to Scout24 AG chief executive Tobias Hartmann.
The experienced human resources expert is expected to place a special focus on improving diversity particularly to increase the proportion of women in the company as a whole and in management positions. She will also play a key role in the further development of Scout24’s people development strategy.

We see this as an important key to our success,” Scout24 AG CEO Tobias Hartmann said in a statement.
Viehweger, who holds a doctorate in law, started her career as a specialist in employment law at Raue LLP in Berlin before joining Axel Springer SE as an in-house lawyer in 2011. She was also Head of Human Resources at the WELT editorial office of Axel Springer.
Most recently, she also played a similar role as Chief Human Resources Officer at Axel Springer National Media & Tech, where she was responsible for the HR topics of Axel Springer’s digital brands. She also held the position of Vice President People & Culture at Axel Springer News Media National.
